Level 3 – IYV 450hr PAYTA (India) Professional Ayurveda Yoga Therapy Apprenticeship

This unique five week opportunity takes us to the land of yoga’s origins and a culture steeped in the sacred teachings.  Immersed in Ayurveda and Yoga Therapy in India you will find yourself anew.  The Level 3 - Ayurveda Yoga Therapy Certification involves one week of personal panchakarma., a deep cleansing experience which is the basis of Ayurveda.  It is recommended that we cleanse this way yearly and this is our goal, to be living examples of the teachings and in this way bring them to life from a genuine perspective based in experience.


During our cleanse we will also have experience teaching gentle yoga classes and leading supportive, nurturing yoga nidras.  After the cleanse, class resumes for four weeks,, we will be taught by the excellent Ayurvedic MDs and Yoga Trainers resident at the Chakrapani Ayurvedic & Research Centre in Jaipur, Rajasthan.   The program is designed and guided by Sandra Sagarmurti Shotton and meets the guidelines of the Yoga Alliance as well as the IAYT.  The skills and experience acquired in this five week long intensive will fully prepare you to work in  professional setting or to open your own Professional Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy practice.  Any 200hr YTT plus one year of teaching is the prerequisite to begin training as a Yoga Therapist.(800hrs total are required to complete PAYTA)

- Design and teach one 8-week session of Ayurveda Yoga Therapy for a specific group

- Conduct 50 individual sessions for people with specific health challenges

- Assessment involves the chakras, gunas. koshas and doshas and how they overlay

- Ayurveda assessment techniques developed further, including tongue and pulse diagnosis
